Top 10 Grossing Punjabi Movies: After Carry on Jatta 3 and Carry on Jatta 2, Jatt and Juliet 3 have made the third-highest box office earnings of any Punjabi movie in India at Rs. 37 crores.
After two weeks of release, Jatt and Juliet 3 has surpassed Carry on Jatta 3 to become the highest-grossing Punjabi movie abroad. With a total revenue of USD 5.90 million (Rs. 49 crore), the Diljit Dosanjh film has outperformed Carry on Jatta 3 with USD 5.70 million. The movie still has a long way to go and will probably make over USD 7 million before it ends its theatrical run.
The movie’s Indian box office total of Rs. 37 crore places it third among Punjabi films, after Carry on Jatta 3 and Carry on Jatta 2. Although it is now far behind Carry on Jatta 3, the movie will probably surpass the second one. Its global ranking has improved due to record numbers abroad; it is currently in second place with a good possibility of taking the top spot.

The overseas market for Punjabi films has seen significant growth, particularly in Canada, Australia, and the UK, due to increased migration in recent years. Additionally, collaborations with Pakistani Punjabi artists have expanded the market to the Pakistani Punjabi diaspora. Five years ago, the top-grossing Punjabi film overseas was Carry on Jatta 2, with USD 2.65 million, a figure that has now more than doubled, nearing the triple mark.
In Canada and the US, Jatt and Juliet 3 has raised the bar for Punjabi films. The UK will fare worse than Chaar Sahibzade, but that movie was special and had a religious concept that ordinary films just cannot match. It will come up slightly short of Mastaney in Australia, but much less so in New Zealand. Gulf and probably Pakistan will be below Carry on Jatta 3.
The point is that there was room for Juliet and Jatt 3 to rise even farther, perhaps to record-breaking heights with improved reception. With the proper movie and the right audience, Punjabi films can make between $8 and $9 million USD. One such good movie that didn’t receive the correct kind of attention was Juliet and Bette 3.
