Sex and the City" is set to premiere on Netflix on April 1, making all six seasons available for streaming.
Previously, the series was only accessible on HBO Max.
The move comes as part of a content agreement between Warner Bros. Discovery and Netflix, which includes licensing deals for various series.
Alongside "Sex and the City," other shows like "Band of Brothers," "Six Feet Under," and "True Blood" are also part of the agreement.
The original series, debuting in 1998, follows the lives of four women navigating love, friendship, and sex in New York City.
HBO Chief Casey Bloys discussed the strategy shift, emphasizing a balance between protecting successful shows and exploring syndication opportunities.
While HBO is cautious about licensing its content, the co-exclusive arrangement with Netflix has shown positive results, with increased viewership for shows like "Ballers."
Recent shows won't be available for licensing elsewhere until years later, following a syndication model.
